How to sort TikTok videos by views, popularity or date
TikTok gives profiles three tabs, Latest, Popular and Oldest, and leaves search results, hashtags and your Favorites unsorted. What each tab does, and how to sort everything else.
What TikTok lets you do
Every profile, in the app and on tiktok.com, has three tabs above its video grid:
- Latest shows the newest videos first. It is the default.
- Popular shows the videos TikTok considers that account's most popular. It does not say which number it ranks by.
- Oldest shows the oldest videos first, which is how you find someone's first TikTok.
So on a single profile you can already sort TikTok by oldest, and roughly by most viewed.
Where TikTok's sorting stops
- Search and hashtags. Search filters in the app can narrow results to a date range and switch to most liked, but nothing orders them by views. Hashtag pages have no sort at all.
- Favorites, Liked and collections come in the order you saved them, with no way to reorder.
- No other numbers. Nothing sorts by comments, shares or saves, and nothing tells you which videos beat the creator's usual numbers.
- No list. Popular reorders the grid, but you still read the view counts off thumbnails, and there is nothing to export.
How to sort any TikTok page by views
- Add Sortflare to Chrome. It is free.

- Press Alt+S, click Sort and choose Views.
The ranked list appears in the panel beside the page, with views, likes, comments, shares, saves and the posting date on every row. The same menu sorts by likes, comments, shares, engagement rate, length, date or outlier score.
Newest first or oldest first
Sort by Date and flip the direction to put the oldest video at the top. That works where TikTok has no Oldest tab: search results, hashtag pages, your Favorites and your collections.
Popular, views or outlier score?
Popular and a sort by views agree on the obvious: an account's biggest hits. Neither tells you whether a video did well for that account. The outlier score does: each video's views divided by the median views of the same creator's recent videos. How do I sort a TikTok profile by most viewed?
In the app or on tiktok.com, open the profile and tap Popular. To see the exact view counts in order, or to sort by likes, shares or comments instead, use Sortflare on tiktok.com and sort by Views.
How do I see the oldest videos on TikTok?
