How to see someone's most liked Instagram posts
Instagram shows a like count under most posts but never lets you sort a profile by it. For your own account, Insights can rank your content. For anyone else you either open posts one by one or sort the grid.
Your own most liked posts
If your account is a professional one (creator or business), open Insights in the app and go to the content you shared. You can rank it by a metric such as likes, over a time range you pick. A personal account has no such view, and neither kind lets you do this for someone else's profile.
Someone else's: check the posts one by one
On instagram.com, hovering over a post in a profile grid shows its likes and comments. That is fine for an account with thirty posts. For one with a thousand, you are reading numbers off a grid that keeps loading as you scroll, and you still have to remember which one was highest.
Someone else's: sort the grid by likes
- Add Sortflare to Chrome.
- Open the profile on instagram.com.
- Press Alt+S, choose how far back to go (everything for the all-time top), and sort by Likes, highest first.
The top row is the account's most liked post, with its date, comments, views if it is a Reel, and a link to it. Sort by Comments instead and you get the most commented posts, which are often the ones that started an argument. Scanning a whole profile is a Pro feature; on the free plan, signing in gives you one scan a day at Pro depth.
When the account hides its like counts
Anyone can hide the like count on their posts. When Instagram does not send a number for a post, Sortflare shows it as unknown and puts that post at the bottom of the list rather than treating it as zero likes. On an account that hides likes on everything, sort by comments, or by views on the Reels tab.
Most liked is not the same as what works now
A like count keeps growing for years, and an account that has tripled its followers gets more likes on everything it posts today. So the all-time top is usually a handful of old hits and big moments. To see what is working for the account right now, scan the last few months only, or sort its Reels by outlier score. The guide to someone's most viewed Reels goes through that.
Hashtags and saved posts
The same sort works on a hashtag page, your saved posts and each saved collection. On a hashtag it ranks the posts Instagram shows on that page, not every post ever tagged.
Questions
Can you sort Instagram posts by likes?
Not in Instagram. With Sortflare on instagram.com, open any profile, hashtag or saved collection, press Alt+S and sort by Likes.
How do I find the most liked post of an Instagram account?
Scan the whole profile with Sortflare and sort by Likes, highest first. The first row is the most liked post.
How do I see someone's most commented Instagram posts?
Run the same scan and sort by Comments instead of Likes.
What if the account hides its likes?
Posts without a like count go to the bottom of the list instead of counting as zero. Sort by comments, or by views on Reels.
Will the person know?
No. Sortflare reads what your own signed-in tab loads and reorders it on your screen. It never likes, follows or comments.
Free to install. No account to start.
The free plan sorts the latest 25 posts, however old, exports everything and downloads without limits — and, signed in, runs one Pro scan a day. Pro is $49 once, for life.
