How to see someone's first TikTok video
On a profile, TikTok's Oldest tab puts the first video at the top, and it is the quickest way when it is there. Favorites, collections, search results and hashtags have no oldest-first view at all.
The Oldest tab
Open the profile. Above the videos there are three tabs: Latest, Popular and Oldest. Tap Oldest and the first video in the grid is the oldest one the account still has up. Videos the owner deleted or made private are gone from the list, so "first" means the first one still public.
When you cannot find the tab, or it does not load
If the tabs are not there in your app, update it, or open the profile on tiktok.com from a computer. If the grid still starts at the newest video, sort the profile yourself:
- Add Sortflare to Chrome.
- Open the profile on tiktok.com.
- Press Alt+S, set the scan to cover everything the account has posted, and sort by Date with the oldest first.
The top row is the first video, with its exact date, views, likes, shares and a link to it. Scanning a whole profile is a Pro feature; on the free plan, signing in gives you one scan a day at Pro depth, which is enough to find one account's first TikTok.
Oldest first in Favorites, collections and search
TikTok has no Oldest tab outside profiles. Open your Favorites, one of your collections, a search or a hashtag on tiktok.com, press Alt+S and sort by Date. Flip the direction to put the oldest or the newest first. On a search or a hashtag it covers the videos TikTok shows you there, not everything ever posted.
While you are there
A profile sorted by date is the account's history. Sort the same profile by views to see its biggest videos, or by outlier score to see which ones beat its usual numbers. The guide to sorting TikTok by views, popularity or date explains how the three tabs and these sorts differ.
Questions
How do I see someone's oldest TikTok?
Open their profile and tap the Oldest tab. Or, on tiktok.com, scan the profile with Sortflare and sort by Date, oldest first.
What if I don't see the Oldest tab?
Update the app or open the profile on tiktok.com. If the tab still isn't there, sort the profile by date with Sortflare.
Can I sort my TikTok Favorites oldest first?
Not in TikTok. With Sortflare, open your Favorites or a collection on tiktok.com and sort it by Date.
Does it show deleted videos?
No. Neither the Oldest tab nor Sortflare can show videos the owner deleted or made private.
Will the person know?
No. Sortflare reads what your own signed-in tab loads and reorders it on your screen. It never likes, follows or comments.
